Hi Paul,

This is a superb application !!!

I had a short sample of me moving a stone on a stonefloor, and stretched it sounded so musical. Just unbelievable!

Thank you very much for sharing this.

If yoy would port this, or let it port, to VST. I would be very interested in buying it :)

This is a WOW application; it makes you go WOW...

I think I'll stretch down some Bat sound, and stretch up some low rumble nature sounds, that will be so cool

Exactly! 8)

MrM - it's opensource - so anyone could port it or make another FREE app out of it. the sources are on the page.

I think you are probably thinking of DSP dimension's dirac time stretch. Dirac is much more suited to time stretching within a smaller range than paulstretch. Unfortunately I can't see the commandline download on their pages any more just sourcecode examples. :(

Luckily for you guys though I remembered that someone did a version with a GUI and after a little research I've found it (along with a funky little batch processor)!

Between these and Paulstretch I think you can cover most of your timestretch/pitchshifting needs! Have fun y'all! :D

Oops, I forgot to add that I think Paulstretch is ace! Cheers Paul! :)

Wow!! :-o This thing is amazing :D

However, i would advise against streatching a 28s file to 843 years!!! :o :o :o :o

Hi.
Thanks very much for the feedback.
I have the intention to add mp3 support next, and after this to add processing of the spectrum (first something simple like a pitch shift). .

Yes. It's open source and all of you who downloaded the executable for windows already have the source code on your's hard drives :D. If you are interested, it's "paulstretch-1.000.tar.bz2" file (open with a newer archiver) :)

oh, I'm a dummy. it let me load an mp3 so I assumed it had mp3 support. working fantastic with wavs.

and mighty damned excellent tool, sir! where was this thing 2 years ago?

Nah, it was something specifically for massive timestretches. I'll have a look (and an eager try of this) when I get home.
