Way Cool.
Eats cpu like cookies though.

I'll keep an eye on it ;)

edit : WOW this thing can make HUGE subs when using on drums !
I get lil clicks and pops every now and then though, i'm not quite sure if it's the driver running out of buffer or the plug itself...

Post

nice one!
noticed one thing. the pan works swapped, turning the knob left makes the sound go to the right channel and vice versa.

Post

thanks a lot everyone for the feedback, and the issue reports, all very helpful and much appreciated , cheers! glad someone spotted the tempest tribute in the graphics too :)

will try to fix it up and tame the CPU hit and i'll post it again once i do, whenever that is...

:D :D :D
I can honestly say that my two fav video games of all time were Tempest and and even older one called "Space Zap"
both were the main reason why I never had any beer money at school :drunk:
....AND...after playing those games my BP and adrenalin were so jacked up, I didn't need anything else but late night pancakes at the Denny's :P

err...sorry to derail the thread, but you're right- I got the tribute and had to wax nostalgic for a sec (us old guys will do that)

looking fwd to *anything* coming from your laboratory, st3pan0va...update for this one or otherwise! Between now and then, there's much noise to be made!

Thanks again

Post

tempest rules. it was one of the few games i was good at (that one and gyruss) - weird how only games that worked in a circle i liked. anyway this plug is as advertised and my CPU has a sore anal cavity because of it ... will be watching this space for less brutality in the future :)

Post

OK, update... the CPU hit is tamed. more to do, but it's halved, more or less. also reversed the pan control and possibly implemented PDC... but that seemed too easy somehow and i don't believe it can have worked.

edited my first post and put the new dll up at the same link.

Post

YAY!

Wicked, I'll try it out now.

You ready to announce this in the KVR database yet?

Unless I'm terribly confused there is no longer a DL link in your 1st post nor your webpage.

*edit* nevermind, my browser had it cached weirdly

hope to soon, but need to make some new knobs at least! a couple of the controls are still mapped pretty weirdly, want to tighten up some more code and try it in some more hosts too... bound to be a few more bugs... there are always more bugs...

Post

nice i will watch it 8)

It didn't! ;)

PDC still a problem but CPU is indeed halved. 8)

Hey cool cool cool stuff st3pan0va, I'm looking for such a plug for ages! Thank you st3pan0va! - And free too, i can't believe it... I wonder what it would sound like if id had a -kind-of- FFT pitch shifter, doesn't need to be perfect, a quick'n'dirty one would do.. :)
Cowbells!
