finaly i have renoise HEEEEEE
for me a lot of money but a hell of a host
it`s stable with vst and as a program
a lot of the commands are the same as ft2
it has a sampler fxs automation much more

i still use ext for samples and midi fx and more
and use aodix when i want to make a vast song
but this host brings me back the old good times on the amiga and my first pc

just had to tell

yes renoise is a very fine host/ sequencer.
My only complaint would be that it lacks a bit with pattern commands. Some that are missing, others don't work too well. For example 0Fxy sounds horrible compared to other trackers, though maybe i'm just to stupid to use it properly

The devs don't seem to be interested in working on the commands any longer, they're busy implementing the popular demands, VST related things.

BTW, if you use renoise with eXT, Thalamus might be handy. So you can sequence synths inside eXT through renoise's patterns.

Yes I agree renoise is great. The main thing I am missing with it is an integrated freeze function. I have XT with which there are workarounds for this but none as convenient as if it were native to renoise.

Even so I think it is one of the best $45 I ever spent for the time I have used it to compose on. Also it has responsive devs. Though development is slower these days due to one dev temporarily leaving and taktik and blaklis doing the rest in their spare time.

Romour is that there is a small bug fix coming then a poll for 1.6 not too distant in the future though..

odo renoise will treat you good. the automation implementation rules, and it's about the prettiest thing i've ever seen trackerwise

Or do you mean the other way round?

To get eXT to follow renoise's patterns, you just load it as an instrument and use it normally. On the other hand, to get a renoise instrument to follow eXT's piano roll (or any other MIDI step sequencer that eXT can load), or to record MIDI from the eXT piano roll into the renoise pattern editor (perfectly synced, because eXT is running as a plugin within renoise) then Thalamus comes in handy (so long as it's running on MIDIYoke channels, because renoise hogs all others).
