sonar 3's metronome is rubbish
i have to use a midi note and send it to my electribe, a f**king pc beep is all you get audio wise.
i think they fixed in 4 and 5 though.

Pro Tools' metronome (aka Click) is so ridiculous. Instead of placing this device on the Transport they make you create an Auxillary track and place the Click plugin on it, then you turn up the volume.

lol! This is the kind of thread to grab Justin's attention now!
Sonar 4 has a regular audio metronome now. Its a blessing really, and it would seem to me, that it would make sense just to upgrade from S3 to S4 JUST for that feature alone.
OTOH, ProTools doesnt have an audio metronome?

Is that like Logic 5.5's Klopfgeist? (the predecessor of one ping only) Have they improved on that in later versions?Mr. Tunes wrote:Pro Tools' metronome (aka Click) is so ridiculous. Cakewalk hadn't an audio metronome for a long time. It was ridiculous at one point...
MIDI metronome is sometimes usefull as well. It's best to have both.

So did people from the 1960s. So, whats stopping you from getting a 4-track recorder instead of using computahs and all that fancy gizmos?olzzon wrote:No, and they still make musickeyman_sam wrote:lol! This is the kind of thread to grab Justin's attention now!

What, are you f'n kidding me?
Why would pro tools have a metronome, it's to only be used by professionals, and professionals have perfect timing.

Hey this was edited in from the original right? Pro Tools does have a metronome as I outlined in my post above, it's just not as easily accessible as it is in other programs.Jason Brian Merrill wrote: and Pro Tools (that should REALLY tell you something)
