A few months ago, I did a mad search for a bass/mid/treble tone control plug. I found a really nice one in DJEQ by David Ross.
Problem: Whenever I add an effect to the chain after DJEQ, my settings on DJEQ default to zero and I have to redo them.
Is this a problem anyone else has encountered? My host is Acid Music Studio.

Most plugins load initially with a default preset. Maybe you can save your fav. settings instead, but I don't know about this specific one. Not too many options in the screen.
For an EQ I can understand it loads with all controls set to zero (12 o'clock) since chances are no preset will match what you're after.

What I mean is, I load DJEQ (it loads with controls at 12 0' clock) and adjust it for whatever I'm working on. The I'll load, like, Classic Reverb and adjust that, then I go back to do some tweaking on DJEQ, I find all controls back at 12 0'clock.
I try to care and understand.
