Anyone know if there's a Baldwin piano library out there? All I can find is Bosendorfer and Steinway.

Thanks!

I've thought about sampling my badly out of tune Baldwin spinet. Is that what you were looking for? :P

I don't know about Baldwin samples, but you might check out some of the upright sets (Sampletekk's Rain Piano or Vintaudio's Upright collection, for example) and see if they're close to the sound you want.

Baldwin grands and uprights have a distinct tone to them... that I happen to dislike. But anyway, they aren't BAD pianos by any means.

What kind of Baldwin? Some old Baldwins were and still are truly excellent pianos. Other Baldwins were never meant to be anything but junk, designed and priced for elementary schools and so on.

Lots of music majors have played enough Baldwin practice room pianos, to pretty much universally hate them.

To be honest, here's the tone I've been looking for...

After a bit of contemplating it, I finally found out it was a Baldwin. I knew it wasn't one of the two I mentioned earlier.

Thanks for all the tips, I will check them out! Rain Piano sounds nice. Bout how much dough is it in the US? (Ah, nevermind, I'll go look, lol)

Take care!

Or check out the Sampletekk (who made Rain Piano) upright piano, also.

You just missed the Sampletekk group buy, I got Rain Piano for $24.50. It's $49 now - http://www.sampletekk.com/products.php?cat=20 - I also picked up 7cgJr for about that price, although it's almost TOO good/overwhelming compared to the SR C7 I already had.

You need Giga, Halion, Kontakt or EXS to play Rain Piano. I had created a sfz mapping for Dimension, but since Dimension doesn't disk-stream it's not a practical format.

Well crud. :P That would have been a killer sale too.

I have the first version of Kontakt. Would it run on that, or will I have to splurge and buy Kontakt 2?

Thanks!

NI were running a 10th Anniversary sale - K1 -- K2 upgrade was going cheap last time I looked. K2.1.1 (on PC at least) is working great for sampled pianos. The scripting features are killer.

THANKS! I'm off to check that out. I've been wanting to get around to that anyway! Thanks so much!

50% off on the upgrade!!!! $69 USD. Thanks a ton man!
