Heh. Reverence will be US$39.00, so no, not really. Also, ours is simple serial protection, versus Princeton's PACE. As soon as I have the cash, I'm going to buy the hardware version of the 2016, and not bother with this PACE nonsense any more. Then my computer will be completely PACE-free.

It should be noted that we're not interested in competing with Princeton; I feel that our product compliments theirs quite a bit. Their Plate plugin is quite a bit different flavored than ours, a much darker plate simulation. The original 2016 wasn't known for its plate sound, and quite frankly, I'm puzzled as to why they chose to release it as a plugin at all. But that aside, Stereo Room is an excellent all-around reverb. I use it in almost all my music projects as my general send 'verb. As I said, Reverence is much better suited to mid-range instruments and special effects.

It really is a marvelous looking GUI. The fuzzy glow of the LED's is perfect...

Seems Chris and I have the same taste in verbs too. Discord 2 was my first AD plug-in and this will almost certainly be my second. I'm getting the feeling that Audio Damage is going to be my newest addiction.

Post

Okay, I've made the product page for Reverence live on the AD site. Go forth:

You can't buy it yet, but there are a couple audio demos, and a screenshot, and the usual market-speak.

Post

wow.. I like the sound of the demos of this thing quite a lot! :)

Cheers!

Post

Oh yeah Sounds tubeular!!!!

When you're tired of putting your instruments in the same virtual space as everyone else using me-too impulse-response-based reverbs, treat your tracks with a little Reverence.

Well, they don't do demos, exactly...

To Lee702:

The CPU load on my Athlon 64 3000+ is about 2% to 3%. (It's hard to tell). On my Intel iMac, it's a bit higher, maybe 3% even. That's really difficult to tell because there are two CPU cores, so the GUI can go on one, while the actual AU is on the other. (If you're not a Mac user, AudioUnits are actually two separate programs: the GUI and the actual plugin.) Adam hasn't given me a UB version yet, so I can't check on my iBook.

To hifiboom:

We don't do demos. We offer a 100% no-questions-asked return policy instead. Demos are a big pain in the ass, and don't actually increase sales noticably.

Now that's interesting to hear. I thought it was to prevent crack-dom! I never would've bought, say, Kontakt without being able to try it, I figured demos helped sales. Of course, that was $500 and boxed! Fair enough.
