SX3 checking the damn plugs everytime it starts.
Not having batch export of the project.
It doesn't allow me put a fat chick as background.

I hate using external effects on it, a pain in my butt having to route everything create new track, new bus, blah blah blah. It would be nice to create one setting for it, set what connection it's connected to and add it just like I would software effects and Sonar takes care of the rest.

Also I hate the MIDI view with a passion, it's the most cumbersome thing to use humanly possible. They should have a seperate layout for drum tracks, and have an interface much more like FruityLoops's.

Only 2 things I can think of right now, but they're huge workflow issues for me.

ReNoise - The randomize knob button isn't very random...keep pushing it and eventually all the knobs will hang around center position. They could've just called it the "Click me a bunch of times to center knobs" button.

host #1 - not intuitive to learn and has too many things you need to know, even though it's very flexible. e.g. to create a bus you need to add and disconnect a VST;

host #2 - stopped development just after I bought it, no explanations due to an NDA;

host #3 - takes ages to load, so I only use it when I work for their acidplanet contests;

host #4 - I had non-reproducable crashes, so didn't really invest time in it, but the newest release is stable, and BONES loves it;

host #5 - I wish it could render without problems. Even though the workflow is great, it stops me from using it.

Host #1 is the one that I use most of the time. (Even to route my keyboard to my hardware synths

)

Ableton Live:

Can't merge or overlap clips in same track.

No curves in automation, except by piece wise linear approximations.

Can't temporarily disable tracks just mute them.

FLstudio is too dark, and with "skins" look still way too
same.

It does not have automatic PDC.

And its author seems somewhat stubborn.

(but the piano roll is nice nonetheless)

FLStudio... the horrible, horrible awful cringeworthy sucktastic asserific forums.

(FLStudio is not too dark, everything else is just too light. But real skin support would be nice.)

ReNoise (again) - recording knob tweaks in real time doesn't record them to the automation grid, it records them to the track as commands...doh!
