stupid question: how is cubase le different?

i'm looking at the presonux firebox. it looks totally gnarly and radical. and it comes with cubase le. i don't have any experience with cubase or limited editions in general, so i'm just wondering what's limited in the limited edition? and importantly, does cubase le need a dongle?

LE only runs 8 VSTIs and has 2 inserts and 4 sends per channel. There is no dongle, just a serial number. It's basically a stripped down SX version 1. It is a good way to find out if you like Cubase, and there is an upgrade path to SE. If you don't like it they go for $15 on E Bay

Correction - the most recent version only allows 2 VSTi, although they have increased simultaneous audio inputs to 8.
