don't use Live but tried the demo and the "Beat Machine" effect is realy cool!!

any alternative out there?

btw: it's Beat Repeat, not machine.
Another vst would be dfx Buffer Override.

Another vote for Glitch. It kills Beat Repeat IMO. I use Beat repeat for subtle quickies here and there but Glitch is way better.

Flitch Splifter from Smart-Electronics and several ens. from Reaktor-user-library, if you have a Reaktor-license. But Glitch is far the best/most flexible thingie....
