No idea about the new names after the deal with Roger Nichols, but the plugins from Elemental Audio like "Eqium" are very great. Search for Elemental Audio and you find this plugins (with the old names, but the same things inside)

I love the EAS plugins. Though I have not seen the Roger Nichols versions. I have a lot of respect for his work esp with Steely Dan.

I don't see what all the fuss is about. Roger (big bucks) bought out a little (prob. struggling) developer based on his judgement of "best software EQ". Developer in question must have been happy with this deal. If anything you guys (the haters) should have a beef with the developer, afterall, he was the one who sold out

It's definitely a double-sided sword. Audio Dev's dont make much profit, and I hope the elemental audio dude(s) got a good pay-off for letting sir fagsalot do his thing.O.L.T wrote:I don't see what all the fuss is about. I have to agree with you on this. I read the other thread weeks ago and wondered why it was mostly character assasination of RN and fury at the prices for the plug-ins. He's a really smart guy, regardless of how one feels about the whole Elemental Audio to RND deal. And, by the way, the original plug-ins are out there if you spend some time looking for them. Yeah, the names of the new ones are sort of lame, but I have no reason to believe they're not as good as the previous versions. And, yes, they seem overpriced.O.L.T wrote:I don't see what all the fuss is about. Roger (big bucks) bought out a little (prob. struggling) developer based on his judgement of "best software EQ".
