Not really "still around" so much as "back". Karl Wallinger had an aneurysm a few years ago and very nearly cashed out and I believe had quite a long way back just to be able to speak again (if you can believe the press). The new stuff isn't really all that new, the album "Dumbing Up" had just come out in the UK when the aneurysm hit and so is only just being released in the US. To me it's just another excellent record as were the others. He takes his time and it shows. If you like anything you've heard by them I can't recommend enough trying to catch them on this tour. I almost drove up the coast to catch tonights show in OC. They played tons of songs, sounded spot on, and on top of it they just come off as a bunch of good guys having a really good time playing.loveless wrote:I guess World Party are still around then?
