I have the RMIV but when I switch to any of the Manytone drumkits there is no sound. I can hear it from the RMIV (playing the pads)itself but nothing from my program, Tracktion 2. If I switch to any of the original RMIV kits the sound is back and played correctly. What can be wrong? Is the Manytone kits somehow different? If I just replace a sample (in a RMIV kit) the sample is played correctly.

Hmmm
I have not heard of this.
Do you have the full RMIV? Our kits were not included in the Traktion RMIV.
If you have the Full version then maybe try Midi channel 10. The kits i believe were mapped to midi standard channel 10 for drums.

I bought the manytone drums separately. There are 12x2 kits. For example MTkit1, MT Natural Percussion and FMkit.

Providing you have them in the proper location on your drive it should all work.
Are you transmitting Midi Data from Tracktion on the right channel?

I've tried all sorts of things. All RMIV kits are working. So I do not know what the diffence would be if I changed channels? I am not a "MIDI person" so perhaps there is something I am overlooking?

I noticed that the manytone kits have DS3 as their file extension but the RMIV kits have DS4. There is a button for importing RM2 files but not RMIV3.

Hi
My version of RMIV loads the DS3 files fine here. But as you say the drums are sounding when you use the pads.

I have sent a mail to Peter at Linplug to see if he has any idea of why you are not getting sound.
Hang in there as it is the weekend in Germany now.

No problems here getting sounds ouf of the MT kits and RMIV Tracktion version.

One oddity though, the kit "MTPlipPlopPerc" seems incorrect. No plip-plop sounds as the names imply, just congas and other acoustic percussion.

Hi
I just checked some things here.
BosseJo - The DS3 files are mapped to channel 10 so you need to set tracktion to sent the midi on channel 10. Your manual for traktion should tell you how to do this i think. I don't use it but maybe Carl knows?

Carl - Yes you are right. The DS3 files lost a bit of compatibility i think when Peter went to DS4.
I notice they don't sound as they should.... they were just tweaked plip plop sounds using the RM interface. Nothing major as you still have all the natural kits.

Hm, it probably has something to do with the channel setting. The RMIV kits have the channels set to All while the MT kits seems to be set to channel 10, as Paul says.

Bosse, check whether the actual midi clips in Tracktion are set to channel 10 as well, not just the track. I suspect this might be the problem.

Yep, that was it, that and a combination of unluck. Some of the sounds was not mapped to same keys and of course I tried those three first when I was trying to solve the problem...

Thanks for all your help.
