just for the record: regardless of his public persona, he was really generous with his time with SHITLOADS of bands when he had his home studio (several of my old pals) and was said to be perfectly charming but direct with what he would do and not do...he wasn't going to do a midi'd pop band, but if you had a half decent punk or rock band, you got the same treatment as any rockstar...wtf else can you ask for?

If one's wants to know about Albini you can always go over to ProSound Web where he has his own forums ( http://recforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/f/43/0/ )and ask the guy some questions. Sorry if someone already mentioned it. He's a prety opinionated guy, but is in general very knowledgeable. His studio is beautiful too.

Proper McVitie's Digestive biscuits with your cuppa? A studio isn't a proper studio unless they have proper biccies...IMO. This Albino probably had some tasteless American rubbish died dark brown to make them look like chocolate.

I'm tryin ta learn here people. Thats what i thought, but I wanted to clarify, being one of those idiot americans and all, and from the south to boot. I have a whole other definition of biscuits and they usually involve sausage gravy. Didnt really seem like studio food to me.

yep, the swampers were all hopped up on sausage gravy, RC cola, and moonpies.

I actually have family there. It's a decent little town.

why do analog recordings sound better than digital?
