It sounds very nice and smooth. I like this EQ very much. But 220€ is a little pricey for an EQ

yeah it's ok.
Lose the crappy protection and lower the price to something more sensible (you can buy the incredible PLpar3 EQ AND get the PLPar3X for mixing for less money than this thing)and I'd consider it.

Sounds Fantastic!
For testing, I tried Alicia Keys "If I Ain't Got You"
Wonderful song, but the highs are none existant.
Your EQ introduce what this track was missing. I didn't even notice the "Air" switch upon getting the sound I want.
Once I increased the air contour, siblance!
This is the first EQ I've experienced,that reacts like my Hardware Parametrics. Straight forward and to the point.

I also used an old Beatles' acapella recording to test the Air Band.
This recording has a big lack in the highs, today's recordings are not suffer from these problems (it has also some artifacts probably due to original audio compression).
Anyway, we kept a high gain for the Air Band for such cases.
I just took an extract of this song and use a +15 dB boost for the Air Band in the second part of the extract :

No, no: for PlarpEQ, not AirEQ. I see now that the PLParEQ3 price is buried in the copy at the bottom of the page. I don't know; these are kind of different beasts. PLParEQ's an excellent EQ, but The great thing about AirEQ is that it uses so little CPU, without sacrificing quality.

The Beatles is before my time. However, it sounds very “Now” for a 1960’s track.
When Cassettes were popular, the presence control was a nightmare. With digital recordings offering such low signal to noise ratios, the Air Control really helps old songs.
I’m kind of surprised, many companies move more towards step-up Harmonics Processors opposed Presence Contours in this Digital Audio world we live in.
My method is pretty much “Old School” so, I never use presets on anything. Was that one your presets, or did you just keep sweeping until you found the sound you wanted?
The reason I ask is because I’m trying to get a grasp on what was “common” in that era in terms of High Frequency Equalization. Would you happen to know what was upper frequency limit?

I'm loving the demo of this plugin. Sounds fantastic imho. If it were maybe $199 I'd have bought it already.
The cpu load is amazing. And I know this will sound strange. But not having the curve there helps me listen to what's going on and actually find the things that need correcting and enhancing. I can finally sweep through frequencies and find exactly what I'm looking for with this eq.
I've become a slave to graphs and it's really the wrong way to work.
By the way, BIG kudos for choosing that Beatles clip...one of their greatest songs.

Yes, for a newcomer on the market its too expensive. For about 150$ I would buy it. To push a new product, its always a good idea to make an introductory discount. See to other good companies like Voxengo, Kjaerhus, Sonalksis when new products are released.

He gave you a nice demo with some limitations. why not just get your setting and record. i feel this eq is worth its price best plugin eq i heard so far. and plpareq is totally differend and a cpu hog and its 3 bands not 7 for 150
