hey i got kontakt 2 here and im trying to load them into there and it works fine so im composing all this stuff then its time to go, so i save and then it warns me that I have to save the samples or something.. wtf is up with this

I think that Kontakt converts the soundfont into it's own format when you load it - likely so that you can get full access to the facilities that Kontakt offers, which would be unavailable if working directly on the SF2 (there'd be no way to save the advanced stuff in an SF2 as the format doesn't support it) - this is why you are asked for a location to save all the samples and instrument file...

You don't need to run only 1 vsti at a time...

Just use the free SFZ from rgcaudio.com to run your soundfonts and then use Kontakt to run your other sampled instruments.

They'll play nice together....

FYI -- Those using sfz should install (at your own risk, of course!) this fix posted by Rene recently. It corrects problems with sfz on multi-proc machines:
