Damn dude, Ultrabeat and DMD and you need more? Methinks it aint the sounds, its the operator! lol. The thing about kicks, theyre really too easy, a few simple drum machines, a sampler and EQ/compression to taste and youve got "Damn!" Why waste another dime on sampler drum packs? you really have all you need.deggy wrote:Hey, what's your fav kick/bass drums to use in a dance track. Do you use Bass drum samples or do you use a synth to make the kick drum? If so, which synths or samples do you use?
I've been reading a few interviews in different magazines and I seem to notice people mentioning how they like some of the kick drums in the Apple Jam Pack 2. Is this something worth checkin out?
I do own Dance Mega Drums vol 2 and I've been using a combination of that and the Bass drum presets in Logic 7's UltrBeat but I might like something with a little more ooomf to it. Any recommendations?
