Hi guys, I got Glitch today and played with it for a while in FLStudio 6, but noticed that when put on the master FX channel the vst cant be applied differently on different patterns.
Is there a way I can design the glitching for every pattern one at a time?
I found a way if I put it on random and record event with the on/off knob in the fx page but It gets too random and If I design it to sound as I like it stays the same for all the patterns.
Help needed and appreciated:)

I'm still not entirely sure what it is you're trying to do exactly. Are you talking about the patterns in Glitch or the patterns in FLStudio? What do you mean by "can't be applied differently"?

I am talking about the patterns in FL..
and I mean that the applyed preset on glitch is the same for every pattern in FL..
when I play in song mode the preset keeps repeating itsself over and over..

Yeah, its real easy - LEARN HOW FL WORKS.

try using separate mixer channels with different settings. duh.

okay... but please tell me how can these all different mixer tracks apply for all the channels?!
cuz I cant figure this out...

i understand what u mean or do i have another question here?. it would be nice if we could control the glitch sequencer itself in flstudio and when different fx in the glitch starts, how it works now is great but the sequencer & fx in the glitch cant be controlled when it starts and stops.

It can be, by automating the on/off knob, but when starting it always does the same thing:))) it would've been good if it was like a Layer channel, and the glitch sequenser was controlled by the pattern sequencer..

i use the automation also but there's still this what (i mention before) we cant control...

I think I know what the problem is.Dj Cyber is reffering to the Dblue Glich's inability to change patterns using midi cc's in FL6. If I remember correctly there are 16? patterns that you should be able to change via midi:the usual, modwheel, note on, whatever, (note on would be the best for this app, with a different pattern assigned to each key, just assign an FL6's internal Midi out controller to Glitch),unfortunately certain versions of Glitch don't allow you to do this. Try going to Dblue's website for the latest version, I think the FL6 problem is a known issue. I'm going to install the latest version quite soon, so I'll let you know if the problem still persists. Hopefullly this has been of some help.

The other suggestion of using seperate instances of Dblue on seperate mixer channels is of course an option, but in my opinion hopelessly redundant and a waste of cpu resources.

thanks very much yemski, help appreciated.. although I don't have a midi, I will see what can be done with the controllers in FL, and untill then I found a semi practical solution opening 3-4-5 instanses in the Master FX Channel and automating them in edit events of the on/off...:)
I am looking forward to your further help:)

Glitch does not change patterns automatically, you must do it yourself when you need to. You can do this 3 possible ways:

1 - Using the standard VST parameter which is mapped to the pattern number. Any good host will let you access the plugin's parameters directly without using its graphical interface.

2 - Using MIDI notes to trigger the patterns. MIDI note 48 is mapped to pattern 1, note 49 is pattern 2, etc. Depending on your host, note 48 could be C-3, C-4 or C-5.

3 - Since v1.3.03 you can also use MIDI CC to control the pattern number. To assign a MIDI CC to the pattern number you must use Glitch's MIDI learn function. It is not immediately obvious how to do this at first because I still haven't gotten around to finishing the documentation, so I apologise for that. Anyway, you must right-click on (or near to) where it says "Pattern Bank" in Glitch's interface. When MIDI learn is active you will see a white border appear around the pattern selector. Then you must move one of your MIDI knobs/sliders to assign that control.

"dblue" ..so u mean that i can control each pattern(to start and stop) via midi if the cc adress is right?...i would be very very happy if this works=)

No, this is not possible I'm afraid. Glitch's sequencer will run whenever the host itself is running. In future versions (ie. from v2 onwards) I do plan to include more comprehensive controls and timing options, including the ability to start/stop the sequencer at will, run at a different bpm than the host, a "song" mode which has a pattern arranger similar to the one in FLStudio, etc.
