I've never heard any convincing ones (used to use an EMT) and gave it up.

Several EMT plate impulse responses come with Altiverb, but I don't know if there are any free one's floating about the web.

..suprised you haven't got them since noisevault is the first place to check these things.

for sure Noisevault was the first place I checked but these aren't real plates either but early digital reverbs - same company, totally different thing...
