True. I think it sounds as good as plpareq as a track eq. And since I got that one when it was free, I forget it's now $150...for 3 bands.
To put the cpu hit into perspective, AirEQ with all 7 bands engaged (with AIR) eats less cpu than plpareq with zero bands used - at a quality setting of "1".

It seems that the thoughts about the price are not the same for everyone.Lee702 wrote:i feel this eq is worth its price best plugin eq i heard so far.
Anyway, we already planned to make an introduction offer, but in fact we waited the release of the upcoming AirEQ 1.1, at the beginning of september. But for the readers of this thread, let's make an offer now !
Here is a code which can be used in our online shop, it must be entered on the checkout page :
KVR-AirEQ-20%
It gives an immediate reduction of 20% on AirEQ, with free shipping if you need a Syncrosoft dongle.
This offer is valid until September 10.

My pleasure !JeffSanders wrote:Owned.![]()
Thanks Fabrice!
I also just want to say that the Syncrosoft dongle is free, I can't imagine that we would add an extra fee for it.
And if you already own a Syncrosoft dongle, please do not forget to update you Licence Control Center.
We will release an update soon with some new features and bug fixes.
We will regularly release some updates with new features, because a lot of features that we thougt about when designing AirEQ are not implemented yet. These updates will be free, of course !

I have changed the demo version from the dongleless version to the synchrosoft version and found that it works better. Are this different versions?
I like this EQ more and more... Put it on top of my "must buy list"

What do you mean by : it works better ?4damind wrote:I have changed the demo version from the dongleless version to the synchrosoft version and found that it works better. Are this different versions?

Anyway, it may comes from the fact that we have updated the algorithm in the last version ( 1.08 ) that is available now to download, so some slight changes may occur in the sound for some settings since you downloaded the dongleless demo version. It also means that you heard this changes and that you deeply tested AirEQ !
I will make a version history on the website, you can download the latest versions with the same links :

Since selling my UAD-1 card, the only EQ's I've found to replace those are the Voxengo and plpareq eq's.
To me, AirEQ is in a different league. Sound-wise it's at least as good (better imho)...but once you get used to the graphless interface, it's second nature to get the sounds you want. And cpu-wise, it renders most other eq's useless to me.

I'm glad you're digging this EQ, Jeff. When I tried it out, I knew this was the track EQ I was looking for; perfect sound, unbelievable CPU-sage. I'm deleting just about everything else.
Why'd you sell your UAD?

The best plugs they have are the compressors - they were the best until the Voxengo Marquis imho.
I got sick of errors with other plugins, system time resets...all that crapola.
And it turns into a sickness once you have a card, you know? Each new plug they release costs more than the last and uses exponentially more of the card's power (probably on purpose
). So you buy every new plug like another fanboy and next thing you know you need a second and third card to use your plugs.
Nah...they're not that fantastic. To me.
So I sold it, reminding myself my performances were 1000 times more important. I decided to work on my mics, preamps and monitoring situation instead of being a UAD fanboy.
But you need a great EQ. AirEQ is it for me. (ATM, anyway.

Damn it.. this EQ is seriously tempting me aswell but I have already a boatload of equalizers and I'm also very happy with electri-q (posihfopit version) and Nyquist (it's a really good EQ once you disable the amplitude compensation per band, there is a preset for it around somewhere). I still seem to use the Sonalksis EQ for low end corrections on various sources and PLPar3 free one is still in heavy use on the master bus.
.. however, AirEQ is just so incredibly easy to get results with. It's made me rethink the way I use equalizers and you can't really beat the CPU usage.
.. wife won't be happy if I swing the VISA..
Cheers!
