With all this rant it is no wonder that Torben sometimes loose his temptation. I do not understand one thing....You have demo on his page. You can download and try it and see will it work for you. So how you can buy it then and claim that it is "investement is pretty much wasted."
Oh well. But you did put your apology so we can turn another cycle

someone is using the "mute" feature? I'm a bit surprised, this is an "extreme" action.
I understand the problem here. Torben is damaged by an unsatisfied customer (it is a bad advertisement), but I think that a customer is a customer, a customer has his own ideas, every product will have unhappy customers, this is life.
For example, after having 3 kurzweil, now I'm a kurzweil hater because they aren't releasing nothing new.Should I say I'm damaging youngchang (= kurzweil)? No, I say no. I'm a customer, I've payed their products, and now I'm unhappy. Period.
So where is the problem?
I you think a developer is damaged by a customer
1) you can't stop it
2) in this forum ther is an heavy attack to some product and people (for example roger nichols)
3) in the market 5 customer are happy and 1 is not happy, this is a rule, and it doesn't change sells (if the company is polite and gives good answers)

Why??Zaphod (giancarlo) wrote:someone is using the "mute" feature? I'm a bit surprised, this is an "extreme" action.
That dude is annoying, and because of the thread title I am interested in reading the posts. However his recent posts annoy and irritate me, for reasons stated many times in this and in his other thread. So why should I not mute him?

Ok you are annoyed, and you have rights of being annoyed, I'm surprised you use muting here:
I haven't tried the mute feature, but how can you understand this topic muting the author? It is really useful muting someone when you see his words inside quotes?

Yes, please mute me. If you can't read my posts, you won't be able to respond with ignorant rants of your own.
And the idiot who thinks this was about Demo versions - get some English comprehension skills, because you haven't understood anything i've written.
How many times do I have to say I am not a Kjaerhus hater. I would be more of a Kjaerhus lover if his products were better. Damn - some companies pay experts to research & develop their products to improve customer satisfaction. I'm giving away this information for free. And some people agree on some points.
I've just realised that I've only saved the registration files, and the last version of my Kjaerhus products. I didn't realise how important it was to save the email link to the secret location to get the real full featured versions. And because they look identical to the Demo version, I'm not exactly sure whether the versions I saved were demo's or full featured (probably demo's).
I am pointing this out to other potential customers - because I didn't find out this information until yesterday, and I was confused and frustrated.
Developers get good advertising for free in public forums like this. But they have to take the good with the bad, and realise it's a competitive market, and consumers have wants (maybe irrational wants) and reasons for chosing one product over another.
Also developers should not accuse their customers of hate crimes just because they wished to discuss their products in a less than worshipfull manner.

Yes the customer is THE customer. But when THE customer start to making a fool out of self and contradicting self in a way that he is doing damage to company xxx(and their products) nonsense should be stoped.

I think I might have already mentioned this, but keep in mind that...
Kjaerhus DOES allow license transfers, feel free to sell them if you don't like them, I'm sure someone will buy them!
Cheers

Who are you, and how come your only addition to this thread is a reaction to my post?? Or are you another kiwiburger who by accident signed in with the wrong account?Zaphod (giancarlo) wrote:Ok you are annoyed, and you have rights of being annoyed, I'm surprised you use muting here:

Mate this is the third thread you've started up about Kjaerhus and I'm beginning to suspect something foul.Kiwburger wrote:Yes, please mute me. If you can't read my posts, you won't be able to respond with ignorant rants of your own. And the idiot ... and more garbage, ad hominem and weak semantics
It started out with a simple misunderstanding about how to activate a demo and you've pushed it into what is starting to appear as a personal vendetta.
Apart from that, I have to agree with Hans -- you've spouted a lot of talk but haven't posted one example of your -80db sample leak or any other problem your complaining about.
You've been offered solutions, apologies, explanations and some damn good advice, but from you it's been three threads of nothing but rants and rather weak semantics.
You've stated your position, again and again and again.
How about you give it up now and move along -- or you're really going to look like a major attention whore...

it seems logical to everyone nevertheless to keep every payment and registering email as reference ..

The guy should transfer the license and shut up.
Kjaerhus gives a whole product-line of fantastic effects for free. What is he complaining for?

Yeah, I'm gonna go with xander on this one.
You, sir, are looking like tool. At first you were railing about the possibility of maybe being locked out of a future update. Apparently your argument for that fell apart. Now I see you've moved onto something else.
Okay, so when you licensed this code you didn't really understand what you needed from your software effects. Okay, fair enough. (Hey, I'm still learning.) I fail to see how this is the anyone's fault. If there was a replacement scheme system for all the bits of kit we've outgrown or have been made obsolete by some new advance in audio technology then, well, most us would have entirely different systems right now. Turns out Voxengo is better for you - great, put up and move on. Perhaps let the dev know in as respectful a manner as you're able and get over it. But really, you're just coming off as churlish, childish and pedantic in the worst way.
I wouldn't have even gotten into this (I don't own any of the Golden Series - however much I would like to), but for you're completely disingenuous thread title. You're not apologizing, you're just seeking further justification.
Mr. Kjaerhus, in the future you might want to take the route of rgc:audio and certain pop & sports stars: just not talk about upcoming plans:
"When is X going to get Z?"
"We are looking at a number of options for our upcoming releases and updates."
"What is your next product?"
"We are looking at a number of options for our upcoming releases and updates."
(I swear, I don't know how you dev's manage.)
By the by, is there any limiter that has a mix feature? I'm not sure I would see the point to that.

this says it all, its your problem not torbens.Kiwburger wrote:
I know that I probably approach things too academically. I'm the person who wants to set a filter exactly to 1000 kHz. If the knob is insensitive and has to display 1000.1 kHz, that annoys me visually, and distracts from my work.
also before judging someones work consider their knowledge, experience, and taste.
