.....some other things i started conidering was waves diamond bundle. from what i know you dont need those with dongle right, and they cover most of the bases? Blockfish stuff looks kinda cool as does Admiral quality's scamp (oh btw--a shameless plug is not unwlecome in here....i always say, i get more tantalized from the cook's description than the waiter's )

While the waves diamond is a very complete bundle, i think you'll get more diverse sounds from buying cheaper bundles from several different developers- e.g. voxengo marquis and izotope ozone compressor and uad fairchild compressor are vastly different in sound, but similarity is in all waves compressors to some degree to my ears, their just not as different as the plugins from many different developers could be. This is not just with compressors but eq's etc etc they just don't differ as much as going to many different developers to my ears (others may dispute this).I think to get true variety and more sound creation capability you'll need to shop with different developers. getting the best from several will take you further then getting the best from one.
