This is my first post, excuse me if this is supposed to be in the instruments section - it was a coin toss...
I am a small time producer of electronica, and I am looking for a simple soft sampler for use under Logic Express on mac. I cannot afford Logic Pro and although I loved Battery on my old PC, i want to try something else.
I am looking for a small, simple sampler - it doesn't need to have many features, it is just to map my homemade drum samples on. It will preferably be cheap or free, AU compatible and easy to use. I have experience with Kontakt which was great, but I really don't need a great deal of features.
Cheers,
Sidekick.

Welcome.
In addition to asking this question here - which is appropriate - you might want to search the kvr database as well, using the 'Instruments Effects Hosts etc' button at the left of the window.
... just read the 'AU' part now, so I'll leave useful recomendations to other people

Thanks for the tip. I have located 1 free sampler, although it doesn't SEEM to allow mapping across a keyboars, just individual samples (xfadelooper). Still, who can complain when it's free.
Any other ideas?

As far as I can see, Cyberfree does not work with OSX.

For the Mac, try VSamp www.vsamp.com - it's a great, inexpensive sampler. Can't beat it with $40!
