Favorite Stereo enhancement plugin?

Yeah, I definitely see where that confusion arose, I just forgot to differentiate what I was talking about from what they were talking about after reading through the thread til the end.

Hmm... one of the things I most hoped for in plug-ins when I first heard about them, prior to having actually heard them, was for a complete depth-of-field/stereo/surround mixing envoronment.

Phase alignment, stereo fakery delays, accoustical spaces and filter-fx "baffles" in a VR 3D "space" where things could be panned in and out of different reflective "objects", with appropriate filtering, doppler for fast stuff, or for non-linear movement things synched to beats, like a star-shaped 3D pattern of surround-tremolo, getting nearer and further on 1/8th beats...

Seems like I'll be waiting for this for a while.
Luckily, once it arrives, I can just dig out my scores and continue like I try to with my cripplingly slow laptop.

Elevayta Wide Boy is nice and IceVerb is a 3-D reverb that adds tons of width to the mix.

yeah, that's the concretefx one I was talking about that breaks the signal up spectrally.
Only good for special occasions though.

It's a stereo to 5.1 converter, I dont have 5.1 surround, I stick in the master out, it does a lovely job of separating and widening various instruments, drums and vocals, it's one of the best plugs I've found in a long long time.

I just sync the clock hertz to a high frequency and route it to the pan knob using the modtrix in FX Lord. That's just what I do though.

I like mda detune for stereo actually, mixed in a little lightly. I know it's not quite the same as a "traditional" stereo enhancer but it makes me happy.

Also like to do weirder things like split into separate L/R channels and mix in ring modulation or other effects at different frequencies. Fun stuff

I usually build (in SE) my own stereo enhancer plugs when I have
a need, for special purposes within a mix.

Like eg widening specific multiple freqs, mixing mono balance of
specific frequencies, stereo level/balance/loudness etc

edited : Dimension D, with UAD-1 is my go to otherwise.

My second choice: kjaerhus classic chorus. this might sound as a strange recommendation but try the vocal spread preset (and tweak it a little): you will be amazed. however, of course, this works better for single tracks...
