I just bought Melodyne recently, and like a small child at Xmas I want to use it NOW. Unfortunately the recommended minimum ram is 512mb, and I only have 256mb. I am going to upgrade to 1 gig in about a months time, I have to wait that long because I'm very broke at the moment. Can't I just install it anyway? Will it work? And did I mention? I WANT TO USE IT NOW! Said with an extremely annoying Verruca Salt whine, very unfitting for a man of my age and bearing. I'd prefer not to wait a month.
I have an Intel Celeron D 2.7ghz machine, running Windows XP Home edition.
Will Melodyne work with 256mb

Go ahead, install and try it. It may be slow, and the worst that can happen is an error message like "unable to allocate memory".
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

I doubt it but as BertKoor said just install it and try. You wont break anything.
