Zyne,
The new project start page really kicks azz. Now it's a little more easier to create a new project.
Question: Do you plan to implement swing quantization like Reason or fruity loops in the near future? That's a feature missing that has seriously prevented me from coming on board.
Put in the Swing into the thing and i'll buy podium like it's platnium bling!

I'm not sure what you mean by that... It will handle as many plugins as I can throw at it... Well as many as my aging pc will handle.prene wrote:wow nice gui, but you only support 1 plugin with this software.

Juanito, I'm glad you find the start page an improvement. It's going to be improved in the coming releases.juanito wrote:Zyne,

Swing and more advanced quantization options is on the plan, but I must admit I don't have it on my immediate schedule. If you post details on how you want it to work on the zynewave forum, I may be persuaded to put a higher priority on it.

If you are trying to add an instrument to a new track, you can drag the instrument mapping below the last track to create a new track. If you are trying to add an effect plugin to e.g. an instrument plugin track, the easiest way to do it is to drag the effect mapping onto the first ten pixels of the instrument track header (the part will be highlighted accordingly). This will wrap the instrument track in a new track with the effect plugin.prene wrote:how i have been trying to load more than 1 and cant get it too budge at all, it keeps removing the one i had before can anyone help me

It's not added yet. After the next couple of UI update releases, I'm going to work on improving the audio features, which includes SRC, time-stretching, audio event fade in/outs etc.deadbeef wrote:My main issues with previous versions, other than usability issues, were that it seemed to lack SRC, which I find essential... (or has that been added?)

(don't forget to re-implement that old but perfectly working peak-detection algo of yours)

The pics look cool. Does the world really need another DAW? What is different about this one that would make it compelling to get over everything else that is out there already?

Those are a couple of real good questions. Does the world really another DAW? Who can really answer that. Personally I know that it addressed a couple of issues I had with the DAW I had been using and in doing so I think (keyword is think) that I am more productive. Am I really more productive? Don't know as it still seems to take me long time to complete a song but I feel better doing it.Dewdman42 wrote:The pics look cool. Does the world really need another DAW? Other people will have different opinions on this but once I understand what was meant by hierarchical engine and embraced it everything came together. Understanding how this is hierarchy approach works is key to getting any mileage from it. If you don't understand it will be a DAW full of holes but once you do it opens up a whole new approach to creating music. For example, you no longer need to be concerned with track folders and groupings as it was inherent in the hierarchical engine. It's approach to bouncing is also a lifesaver. I'm not sure how other DAWs do it but it does a lot more for me than the product I was using.
It's some things but Fritz has them on his list of todo's but as it sits it does just about everything I need it to do.
My thoughts...
Cheers...

it was built more flexible so it can handle 5.1 or higher plugins that others hosts don't
while some compagny will have to rebuilt their engine , podium will run forward
.
plus like fl it has registering for life politic (for the moment
)
