I thought I was following the instructions but I must be doing something wrong.Any advise in iuncomplicated terms?
Also, I was told that people use 3rd party software to master their own music because the plugins are active in the same way as they are when mixing down in cubase so the cpu hit is substantially less. True Dat?
What;s the most popular professional mastering software.I just got the waves masters bundle.

I meant to say that I heard the effects plugins like cpu hungry reverbs and mastering plugins are "NOT" active in the same way as they are in 3rd party plugins.

yeah I bought it and eventually I will figure it out but that's also what forums are for shouls anybody want to share their time tested tips.

just select the range you want to export and then mute every track you don't want in you mix. is this the thing you where asking?

Also mixing: making adjustments to single Tracks in your song. Mastering: you have a finished song in form of a wave file an then you load this in your mastering program (I have izotope Ozone) or again in Cubase and make adjustments to the whole song.

I'm not shure if I understand what you want to know =)

In Live this is done by using the "render to disk" command ... i'm pretty sure SX will have a render option too.

All you need is ONE .wav file. You simply put the same one audio file in two tracks and apply the mastering stuff just on one of them - so you can A/B. That's how it works... at least for me

Yea, when you export your song to a wav file, chose the interleaved option..

How do I mixdown to 2 tracks in Cubase sx3?
