Any thoughts of wave arts 5 bundle i wanted to buy it and i dont know if its any good
if anyone used it and got few words share it with me
my main propose is to use its eq tools (less the reverb) and this days i use the waves ssl
is it better ? ill be glad for any advice or review thanx

Good set of plugs....I really like the presets, adds a decenet amount of colour.....though it seems rather pricey to me. I'd be more inclined to go for the Kjaerhus suite, but that's my personal opinion. Try the above mentioned sets, perhaps the Voxengo plugs, and see what sounds best to your ears.

I would probably look at voxengo's first for eq's and compressors, but the wave arts are very nice plugins. Masterverb is very nice, multidynamics 5 is powerful, trackplug is nice and versatile, trackplugs eq is only okay to me but at a whole tp is very nice, i like the wave arts collection alot. But you'll need to demo.

I find Ozone to be very good. I demoed with a crack, was very impressed, uninstalled it after a couple of days of trying it out and being very satisfied with it's quality, and then decided that I'm going to save up for it and get it when I'll need it - probably next year sometime when I've finalised some of my mixes. I tend to work slow and easy when it comes to music. I must have redone one of my tracks at least 30 times!

I dont use my bundle anymore, it sounds too clean and often too digital. You find for every plugin in the WaveArts 5 bundle a lot plugins which are outstanding better. Promised!

Try Voxengo, Kjaerhus, IK Multimedia, Sonalksis, UAD and others...

But if you don't like the sound or the ergonomics of the gui or anything else, all the 'pro' advice in the world is worthless.

Sonalksis has very useful plugins. The eq is the best i ever used, and they has a pair of comps that seems to work very well too.

i dont understand the "too digital" idea.

i mean, isn't transparency in a plugin a good thing? i would think you'd /want/ perfectly transparent stuff. like if you use an eq, wouldn't you want it only to do what you tell it, and nothing more? same with other effects? surely they are all different and i can appreciate the 'warmth' of a non-digital sounding bit, but i like the transparency of the wavearts effects myself. that's one of the reasons i liked trackplug when i tried it.

maybe i'm missing the idea, but i have no legacy hardware experience so it's not my fault

i've heard of people saying 'neve eq's sound better than ___ eq's' or compressor x is warmer than compressor y, which is fine, i guess, but on a computer i'd want that warmth only when i intentionally added it in myself?

am i confused? probably

The Wave Arts stuff is excellent, in my opinion. If you want clean, high quality processing, they do the job nicely. I have lots of stuff that "color" the signal, and it isn't always what I need. I wasn't blown away by them initially, but I found that I often turn to them, even in lieu of my fave Powercore stuff.

As they say, though, the demos will tell you what you need to know. They are fully functional...they simply time out after a certain number of days. More than enough to form an opinion.

It may be a bit off the subject here, but I reallllly dig the Panorama plug in from the suite

loop some x y axis "placement" and using the doppler effect =

FTW- the rest of the suite is very nice as well.

Yeah, Panorama is cool as heck. It might be a bit "gimmicky" on the surface, but it nevertheless makes a useful tool for creating that extra sense of space.
