You can link a controller a bit like FL's last tweaked parameter. Move the knob on the gui, ctrl + L then twiddle your knob and it's linked. I miss replace too. FL has so many cool tricks, Orion seems less featured, but more focused to me. If your so used to FL, and are happy with it, then why are you bothering?

Because life is a rich tapestry that demands exploration...

Thats true, and testing softs is fun. I've got 4 hosts and 2 ex's but I never finish any music. So far though, I can not finish a tune much quicker in Orion than in FL

I have both and prefer Fruity by a long shot...has waaaaaaaaay more features, HOWEVER....IMO the bundled generators of Orion are of much higher quality than fruity's

OP7's generators are not demo versions. :hihi:
Realtime Impulse Response Processor, a very good Sampler, 1 GB sound library of more than 900 royalty-free presets and high quality multisamples. Several types of synthesis, drumsynths and the versatile DrumRack drumsampler. Faster workflow, more faster and logical piano roll editing and pattern arranging. OK, I add: IMO and 'for me', I don't wanna hurt anybody. I think FL is also a great app, it also worths its price. :)

So OP7 worths selling out for $199.

never heard of that song, but with that spec PC, im surprised tyou can do anything audio related.

well, I finally went 'Platinum' yesterday (birthday treat to myself) - really pleased so far (not that I've written anything)...

It all seems simple to use, much better routing options than my old Cubasis - so just enjoying using things like vocoders at the moment

It works OK - got my old copies of Cubase VST 5 & Reason 2.5 with some low cpu VSTi's / effects.

FLS also works fine (as long as I don't use 80% of the presets in Sytrus !).

You'd be surprised what can be achieved with such a "restricting" environment and little imagination 8)

PS My grown up DAW is dual PC P4 3.06 & 2.8 with zillions of hosts, plugins and hardware. This is just an old machine in myt son's bedroom that I like to tinker on of an evening...

:) i for one appreciate your humor, humility, and candor.

i'm a FL user too, and when i tried the Orion demo i really really liked it, but since i already owned FL it was tough to think about switching (i haven't), but i may invest in it in the future when funds are more readily available for stuff like this and use orion on occasion. the workflow is slightly different and i found it quite fun to use orion (as much as fl is almost).

either way you go, both are awesome hosts.
