Your Remix Tool(s) of Choice?

a good wave editor, a sampler, a MIDI sequencer, a grainular synth and my brain. I guess you can throw in some FX too, but nothing out of the ordinary. Im a DIY kinda person.

My remix tools are the same as my usual tools for any music, but I'll echo that a good audio editor is essential. You really need to be able to isolate parts and rip them apart.

What kind of remix? A bootleg, or something that you have the original a cappella and/or parts to?

let me clarify a bit.
my principal tools for audio production are cubase sx, stylus rmx, dr. 008.
and for this project - i have stem files for the remix.
what i am most interested in, is what other hosts, and vsti or plugs people use in their arsenals for the particular reqs of remix work ...

Agreed! You could also try Tuareg whoops I mean Tunafish..Igor 4000 wrote:FL Studio rocks for remixing work. The Elastique timestretching algo does a great job of timestretching vocals.

thx control ..i haven't used 5.2 ..and will try the demo. Live has always seemd gr8 for remix ..and been on my mind to check it out again. i will also look into those plugs...

Another vote for live for remixing - haven't used it for that myself, but I know a man who has/does.
