I have so many things to get done and travelling all the time with my job makes me so disorganised on top of everything. But realistically, I think you'd be hard-pressed to come up with a lot of content. ORION is very straightforward, there aren't that many secret tricks to reveal and if there are, I probably never use them. My production is very meat and potatoes. I hardly ever automate things and I don't use a lot of effects. I just rely on good basic building blocks and plenty of EQ, all of which are right there in front of you every time you start ORION.@bones; have you considered ever making a set of orion video tutorials? i know you may think, well hrm it's pretty self explanitory, and even if it is, there are plenty of things that you know about it that really speed things up. seriously if i were you i'd either write an ebook and sell it, or do a vid tute and sell it. you are an established and trusted expert of the software, and i'm sure it would be well recieved. of course it is time consuming to create this stuff, but it would be really the best gift i think you could give to orion. you could perhaps talk to the swavideo guys about doing it through them and promote it through the synapse software site? i dont know just an idea. maybe after you finish that karmakiller synth?

Afaik this is possible, cypherphone has to write a mail to Rich for license transfer, then you have 'full rights'.

@ grymmjack, I bought PRO 7 in the Market Place here. It was the same procedure as Tracktion, I just changed the details and then everything in the last owners account was mine. The previous owner did ask Synapse first and passed my details on, but I think it was just out of courtesy. I then got the upgrade to Platinum for $99, you just quote your PRO serial number when you order. Hope that helps.

you can do alot with those old pcs --- audio related. Put down tracks, use low cpu usage (and not the best sounding) generators, etc..
sure, youre not going to be able to use the latest in FX or vsti toys, but saying you cant do anything audio related is quite general and ignorant.
shut up fuckwit, its a very honest and true statment, you cant do shit on that PC...except erm ...shit.
another one bites the mute...c**t.

some people are way too sensitive here.
the statement "you cant do anything audio related on a p3 800 mhz pc"
IS general, and it is just outright false.
perhaps you cant use alot of the latest goodies, but to say you cant do anything audio related is simply retarded!
sorry if i offended you.

One can expect nothing less from a FL vs. Orion thread

The only thing uglier than FL is (are) the alternative community proposed
user skins. What gives--can an entire user base have no aesthetic sense--
or did staring into the green abyss destroy what little there was. (And please--
f*** all the "its really blue + black" --because it looks green and its hideous,
especially wih the brownish pink accent colors on the step sequencer).
And the embossed type on the new sampler and drum toy..er...machine--fa-get-ah-boutit.
Can't imageline just license the Fl piano roll and call it a career...
Orion is a very slick product. If I wasn't so invested in Reason I'd consider it.
Unlike Reason--many Orion generators seem fully competitive with their vst counterparts.
