All my audio work for video (recording, voice over, sound effect etc) is done in Sony Vegas.
As to the compositional/arranging aspect, or scoring work, I've found none that had the feature set and workflow I need/want. Still looking, but barely as I'm getting discouraged. I just cancelled some paid work I was supposed to start in September and the lack of decent software was one of the reason for it (not the only one mind you).
But I didn't look at higher priced software like Nuendo or Sequoia as the price of the software would have meant I would have worked almost for free.

You should be asking this at Northern Sound Source or V.I. Control, as that's where all the film/TV/game composers hang out at.

Digital Performer or perhaps ProTools? I have 2 issues of S.O.S that show Digital Performer being used to create a film-cues layout and importing & synchronizing video/audio.
