Wasn't sure where to put this, I threw it in this subforum because I figured if there is anything that does this, it might well be some kind of host.

I just need something that (1) can receive OSC messages, (2) display a log of all OSC messages it has received (at least the last few hundred or so), and (3) is not Reaktor (which does have this feature) as trying to run two instances of it crashes my DAW. Unfortunately that is the machine on which I need to run this utility to track down the cause of a problem I've run into.

There's some ideas here: http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/OpenSoundControl/

Probably one of the listed apps may help you (Bidule would be my first suggestion, but I don't know if it can actually display OSC messages). The perl link didn't work, but when I googled perl OSC I found some ideas (I use perl a lot in my "day job").

There is an OSC module for Max/MSP that can accept the messages, you can then do whatever you want with them.

Thanks guys. I actually managed to find something starting from that first link, though to be honest it was quite the roundabout adventure... I ended up compiling the OSCDump utility from the oscpack library by the Audiomulch guy, which works great and didn't require installing a bunch of extra trash on the DAW.

Anyway thanks again, all sorted now.
