Hmmm. Software/Hardware Payware/Freeware? Give us some more hints ;)
My guess is Whitenoise ZeroVector or Toxic III :D

Post

Good guesses! It's payware. And it's software based. There was a guess already that came pretty close. Gotta be specific. It doesn't use any sampling. ;)

then I think this was pretty close,

MS20 ?
sound is vibration, vibration is life

Toxic III

Whitenoise ZeroVector?

:hihi:

Propellerhead Reason?

Post

Zebra2

Intruiging, the song as well as the question. But honestly, I have no idea. Are the drums coming from the synth too?

Post

Yes, drums are the synth too. And Reason I would classify as a group of synths.

Virsyn tera?

Korg Wavestation?

Post

Thats a fine line on sampling, but your probably right. Couldn't be the MS20, not with those rings. Wavestation, doesn't get that raw and crunchy...but he could be running those Korg effects :)

If it is Korg, I'd go M1. Again though, tough call on the "no sampling" hint.

I bet Augur could do this ;)I'm getting killer sounds out of that one.
The armchair is more than the sum of the bastards

Name That Synth! ;)

I made this track as sort of a little demo/experiment to see what I could get out of one particular synth.

The entire track is generated from one synth.
Can anyone name that synth? ;)
Good guesses everyone! The first one to come close was actually Cygnus. All of the sounds in this track actually come from the Propellerheads Subtractor synth, inside of Reason. Yes even the drum sounds are from Subtractor! The effects on the instruments are only the internal effects in Reason, and they make extensive use of the Combinator.

Cygnus actually didn't guess based on the sound, he guessed based on a previous post of mine. ;-) I didn't actually expect anyone to guess correctly. The patches are all ones that I programmed my self, so they shouldn't sound too familiar.

I made this track as a little challenge to my self, to see what could be made with just Subtractors. Impressed by what can be made with just Subtractors and Reason effects? I am. :) Thanks for playing everyone!
