Hm... another "Moog" simulation. May I ask if this is detailed built (1:1) after a specific moog, or do you just try to catch the sound?
If it's a rebuilt by datasheets and carefully tuned, you'll get a save place on the hardware equivalents list (see sig). However an official homepage would be nice.

I think "Synthedit" pretty much answers that...Compyfox wrote:Hm... another "Moog" simulation. May I ask if this is detailed built (1:1) after a specific moog, or do you just try to catch the sound?

thanks, and thanks Compyfox for your page too, ..i have somekind of fetiche for minimoog, moog modular, and mellotron ..so its great to see the options we have in the software world!

Well Antii, we both know that SynthEdit can do more than that with custom modules. I mean, you produced the Taurus v1, however written in another coding engine. If you look at the Voltkitchen stuff, that's also SE but sounds as good as the original (didn't say sounds perfectly like it). Of course it's not the same - no software is. I'm just saying that Synthedit can sound boring and the same, however with custom modules, the world looks a bit different.antti wrote:I think "Synthedit" pretty much answers that...Compyfox wrote:Hm... another "Moog" simulation. But we'll see what cyclick has to say. He's the creator of this new "moog" simulation after all.

Every time I see Blender mentioned, I feel compelled to post a link to its competitor- my brother's free, open source 3D modeling, animation, and rendering program: Art of Illusioncyclick wrote: I'm prepare a tutorials for make GUI images with the great Blender 3D software (GNU) and some templates for make knob...and more...

as for SE not being capable... (oh boy, here we go again
) it can do what the user is capable of, pretty much.
In fact using just the built in maths and logic modules, one can make quite a number of DSP functions; I built a step oscillator a couple of years back just out of standard modules. I built a lp filter, and a resonance booster, both out of just the built in maths modules. Or you can just use creative wiring, math, and waveshaping to estimate (quite well) the sound of many different types of analogue and digital synths / components / FX.
Is it going to be as good as Taurus or Asynth or Augur? probably NOT!
but not many things are, visual IDE or hand coded both. It's the tools AND the talent, man.

The drum kit thingy's nice, loading samples is a treat, I love the way it stores the folder for each pad. A pan control for each pad would be nice, which brings me to this.... I'm only getting sound from the left channel.
Thanks btw

just as a warning to people downloading the .zip files, the url installs spyware on your computer. I use Spyware Doctor and it picked it right off.

The Kong Audio plugins are built with Synthedit and they are quite exceptional.antti wrote:I think "Synthedit" pretty much answers that...Compyfox wrote:Hm... another "Moog" simulation. May I ask if this is detailed built (1:1) after a specific moog, or do you just try to catch the sound?

hey
thanx to the author
this freemooog thing kicks ass! (imho) I can't believe the power of the bass coming out of this, and yet it somehow sits perfectly with other stuff; and i haven't even eq'd it.
The filter sounds somewhat mooogish but also different from most of the other stuff i have; but the oscillators are quite different sounding; are they third party, or some module wiring experiment?
I have to say I really like this alot. Funny, 'cause honestly i was expecting it to sound good (most synth edit stuff does, thanx to high quality coding by Jeff) but not really covering anything new for me, but i think i am actually going to keep this!
Thanx a bunch, kind synth-making stranger
-g
PS: it can actually make quite mooooooogish sounds too, btw, but in my opinion it shines on its own merits.
