Ditto; a GUI which I like, makes my mood good.
A GUI that I strongly dislike will distract me from using it.

So the GUI does not change the sound of the plugin, but my willingness to use is and operate it; operating it means looking at it, looking at it I want it to be neutral or better.

Cos when I like what I see, I'm more foccused on listening to the sound, while being in a good mood.
A good GUI is somewhat equal to a good ergonomics of hardware; you want to be able to control the plugin/device with great ease and happiness.

i prefer to use synths with my eyes shut. if i cant use a synth like that, i dont use it. rules out just about all of the shit.
