Mystahr, it's never too late to conform! :)

Thanks for listening and your comment.

we're talking Peter Gabriel-Genesis and not Phil Collins-Gensis, right? Because those are very different things.
Listen to all the S&B stuff.. they do both eras :) Marmaduke is Gabriel, ReHacksis is roughly 77-79 period, Farm is early 80's.. they do it all so well too!

seamonkey wrote:You guys are GREAT!!! I just upgraded my DVD player which now plays MP3's and I just happened to have a couple of songs I downloaded back in the days you first started coming here.
I burned Welcome to the Farm and Marmaduke and we have been listening to them every weekend.
My wife has been going around the house singing the chorus "welcome to the farm"..LOL and Marmaduke is pure joy to my ears.
It's great to hear these on the big stereo instead of my crappy computer speakers even tho I dl'd them to lofi. The mix is awesome, sounds like it was done in a big studio somewhere.

I can't wait until you get a cd ready for sale, put me down as one who will be standing in line to purchase it once it's released.

Thanks for some great music.

Thanks dano!

It's really hard to justify our little endevour with anything
else than simply our love for this bands music.
It sort in inprinted itself in our souls, hearts and minds so long ago (it still does)
and has given us so much pleasure and inspiration from listening to it. I mean everything I have listened to since "the dark and distant 70's" has sort of been scanned through my "Genesis-filter".
"Is it really any better"?
You follow me? So this is a homeage to our heroes, and obviously some people understand that now, more than 30 years after the event, it's pretty much ok to do a thing like this.
And we love it! Every second of it.
We have NO idea what our next project will sound like,
but hopefully this one has generated some interest in this weird little duo. ;)

Thanks for feedback and you time/words. :)

I am a fan of Genesis and saw them in concert when Phil was running the show. I've followed both Peter and Phil and although I am not a huge fan of Phil's solo stuff, I still think Peter is a genious.

It's curious to me how you can be so passionate about a band, that you create what is clearly thier "sound" but have not copied them in any way other than through style. ...and from what I can tell, an incredible amount of work to pull it off. It's really incredible. Do either Phil or Peter know of your work? I think to say you are just a fan of thier's does not do your tribute justice. Send a song to Rolling Stone Magazine and I bet (if you haven't already) you could meet either one or both. Put it out there...you never know what will happen.

Your passion is to be admired. I'll be watching for your finished CD! Take care...

Just reading through some of your bios..... damn!

Danielmm..
you should be proud of your musical history. Always! It's yours.
Get the new mix of Swingers Party if you like. Crystal clear vox.
Same link as you got before.
