Cool
I'll make some new for the GUI I'm designing now...I'll share them with you when done.

Hey
one more plugin from you in 24h00 ? wow.
But same here, i downoladed your rompler, and then wanted to hear the demo smaples from it, but couldn't download it from rapidshare, which told me to wait 45 minutes ! same here with the comp : quite frustrating ! Sharing "big" files online with big bandwidth needs is a problem
rapidshare, c'est lourd, parque qu'il faut attendre super longtemps entre 2 downloads... Si ton compresseur fait moins de 50M, tu peux peut être le télécharger sur yousendit.com , qui n'a pas ces délais d'attente autant que je sache...

I just made a modified version that's half the size I'll throw in the same space you uploaded to.Marcus Clef wrote:Cool

if it sounds as it looks my only hope is low cpu usage ...(pleasepleaseplease ...)
will check this out in a few hours, be sure you'll get a feedback on this!
thanks!

hi mates,
Thanks for your nice comments; yes it's mono (in fact stereo to mono) because it seems lot of people (including me) have problems running SE plugin without getting CPU issue...stereo output requires to double each components in the color tool wich may be CPU intensive...
If I got enough requests I'll make a stereo version, but I'll never use it myself
Anyway thanks again for your kind words
Marcus

ok, here's my promised feedback ...
please note, this is not meant as an offend in any way.
1. it's mono, thus it diqualifies itself from a lot of uses.
2. even when threshold, ratio and gains are lowered completeley (which the gui doesn't make you assume by showing somwhat "bipolare structured" sliders) it boosts the signal way above it's orginal state.
had to lower the makeup by more than 6db.
3. minor issue, but nevertheless: the vu meter doesnt work, nor has it a needle at all ...
4. knob behaviour somewhat fiddely ...
5. no action makes a knob to ret it's default state
6. no limiterstage at the output (though this is more like a request from me
)
7. i miss an inputslider (again more a request).
8. i'd like to be able to bypass 1. the whole eq, 2. the individual bands, 3. the compressor. all that helps to allways keep track of what you're doing, as you can compare each stage of processing (again more a request).
8. i miss the possibility to switch the eq post compressor (again more a request).
9. i miss the option to use one of the eq bands as a secret sidechain for the compressor (and again more a request).
10. i wasn't able to select one of the 2 presets fxp's, not in ext nor in logic.
a note on the eq:
i assume this is a normal 5 band eq, where the lowest/highest bands are shelfs ... 1. there seems to be no way of actually lower a specific frequencies level, as the gain knobs seem to be unipolar.
also the "cut"-knobs seem to be a bit misleading, as they rather seem to be the frequencies ... so i'd rename them to "freq".
a note on the compressor:
one is capable to create snappy, punchy signals with it, good for percussive material ...
i'd wish there would be a limiter after the compressors output, right before the makeup gain, so that one could drive the compressed signal into the limiter.
for audible comparsion one should then use the makeup gain, to adjust the complete processed signal to _audible_ (not mathematical!) equality.
that is necessary to not let yourself be fooled by a louder signal, which mostly allways is recognised as "better".
overall:
- very low cpu (which is remarkable for a synthedit product)
- the gui looks nice!
- in the current developmentstage it's not very usable.
- i'd also consider readouts for each slider, or a display which displays the current readout of a parameter/knob, while mouseover/hoovering.
- i strongly suggest to overwork the knob behaviour, as it is really difficult to adjust them carefully ...
this all said, i think, that if this a work in progress, this could be a very useful plugin, when it is ready. keep up the work!
nonetheless, i could have completey missunderstand the concept of this plugin ...
