Yes, you could do this but the sound would be huge,
maybe even too fat.

But if you have already three voice tracks, singing different harmonies
and now you add the effect globally, then you will be surprised.

Sure, if you want a bigger choir sound you can use two instances
of ChoirsX, or even 1 for each vocal part.

Both plug-ins are extremely light on CPU,
So there's nothing to stop you from trying out even crazy things.

Here the 3 Day fully functinal demo enjoy !

Hey, thanks! You're the demo fairy today! :D So can I buy these if I like them?

I see. I didn't understand before, now I get it: take 3-4 tracks, bus them to a Group channel, insert ChoirX, et wooch!

Cool, thanks. This ChoirX sounds quite great!

Post

@bduffy: any mp3 demo of the resulting wooch ? Would be cool.

Post

Possibly in a bit, if I can dig up an appropriate file...busy right now. :D

Well, it's hard to say without trying it out, but here's a quick sample. Personally, I would've thought AAR would satisfy in that category, but I do find AAR better for synths than drums.

Reverence Drum Test

DOn't know if that tells you anything.

Given how much I like the audio demos on the AD site, I'm suprised by how strongly I dislike the reverb on that clip. :? My first impression is that I would want to increase the High Damping considerably and tweak the Low Cut to include more deeper resonance. Is it possible to do that using the Reverence controls?

Yeah, that was fast and loose; not sure what anyone wants to hear, really. Yes, you can adjust both the low cut/boost and high cut/boost. If you like what you hear on the site, I'm sure it's more carefully tuned than what I did.

I just got my Musician's Bundle II installed and Doubler really has no equal imho. Worth the price of the bundle just for Doubler (the delay is fantastic too imho).

PSP MasterComp and the Voxengo Marquis smoke the RennComp, but it's still a great-sounding compressor.

Anyway, Doubler sounds beautiful on vocals and acoustic guitars...set at a subliminal level, it makes a big difference.

Post

Agreed. Except I find that delay a sonuvabitch to use! :x

Post

Hey Jeff, with the MB II do you get the four-voice or just the two-voice version of Doubler? Also is Super Tap the full version?

I'm certainly impressed by the low price of that bundle... much lower than I expected for such good stuff

Cheers! 8)

Headquest - you get the two and four voice versions. And Super Tap is the full version.

Yeah, bduffy - it's not the easiest delay to set, but it sounds awesome!

The iLok is a pain in the nuts to get going, but since I got it up and running, all is well. Still can't get the SSL demo authorized on the thing though...guess it's a sign to keep my plastic in the wallet.

You mean you can't authorize a Waves product on the same dongle? Did you contact Waves?
