Motile is the first exclusively "FSU" plug I've developed in over 8 months, -this year-. And it beats the bloody snot bubbles out of anything in the DarkWare line up, no joke.

I've been working on Motile for about six weeks now. Honestly, it would have been done three weeks ago, but it's so damned fun to play with that I end up screwing off with it in its nearly finished state instead of actually finishing it. :dog:

All that's really left is to skin it, optimize a few things, and load it with presets. I'm hoping to have that done this weekend, and release Motile sometime next week.

I gotta get off my ass anyway, it's been two months since I released a NOVUZEIT plug. :scared:

I'm still not a master of Voxelay!

But I'll be using it live nonetheless.

Time

which is part of my SynthStudio Pack

Wow, that's a cheap VST pack.
Did there used to be a VSTi synth called Janus, or is an
updated version? Cuz I'm pretty sure I used it in one of my biggie pearl songs.
right you are, Sir! and right you are again: SynthStudio Pack IS a cheap VST pack and YES it does contain Janus (v3.5) amongst other goodies 8) ...preroll recorder is a must as well, BTW...get'em both...Benedict is nearly paying us to :P :D

Yes Benedict is good to y'all :hihi:

Janus has been around for a while now with a few different faces and even some different features. It used to be really ugly and a total CPU killer but now it is rater nice.

DUG FIR - short answer: no
not even I can memorize something like that and as you can see, I'm obsessed.

Long answer - almost all delays have a host sync option or are just synced in the first place.

Can you imagine how long it'd take just to go through, find, and then load and see if it has bmp sync in all those plugs on an AMD 1.8 Ghz Sempron from a list of non-categorized plug-ins (FL ignores folders in your VST folder) from my massive freeware plug-ins list which is in the thousands? Sheesh. :(

As to my Top-10, dubbyah (from the ones you don't already have)... well, my uses of these things are very different from the norm, obviously, and actually quite different from yours, too. Top-10? No way.

I can give you a list of non-FSU delays I use the most often,
but there's nothing I don't animate, FX are my MAIN instruments. So if I was just gonna grab a delay without having already having composed a part for a specific delay beforehand it'd be one of these:

mda dub delay (which is ancient!)
db sweep delay (which is ancient!)
mj rotodelay (which is ancient!)
RUN-A-DUB-DUB
bouncy (which is ancient!)
ariesverb (which is ancient!)
crazy ivan
Echologist
P1-TapeDelay

None of which are really workhorse delays, but "great" in their own quirky way. Probably not the list you expected, eh?
That's roughly in order of frequency of use, too. I'm not really absolutely sure what Crazy Ivan is even supposed to do and it is a freaking beat to program. As is bouncy, which I animate all the time, and it doesn't really work right and pops and crackles and it's very very hard to tame. If you *animate* mda dub delay it is almost as great as run-a-dub-dub if you can believe it. mjRoto and db Sweep delays will always settle into a mix in a beautiful way. Bit are on the synth-guitar in my recent songs "Bower Pallid" and "Carnivalorous" which are about the two most "open" mixes I've ever managed.

But if we want to talk about "great" as in pre-ordained to be amazing instruments on their own... it's hard to say. Echologist does it's thing on it's own with no parameter animation intervention on my part.

But when you talk about that hazy area of greatness where it's not like mda's where abusing it makes it great, or where ParadigShifter does it's own totally unique thing, but in-between? Ack, I don't know. That list is so big.

I saw it was mentioned in the "list". BUt AnalogicDelay and Bionic Delay from the INterruptor are real cool fx.. And I also like the Delay From Voxengo in the Anologflux suite..

Yeah I love both Analogic and Bionic and would hearily recommend them.

I'm also a huge delay fan & I have to say that P1 tapedelay is definately one of my favourites, you can get some lovely quirky pitch-twisting effects out of it - beautiful piece of kit.

If you own QuantumFX, this is a killer delay:

Didn't see it mentioned; Bionic Delay.
