I've been using AA 1.0 and Acid for quite some time now. I have always noticed a bit of a problem with AA that does not occur with Acid. That is: in AA anytime I adjust a volume or pan fader there is a latency of maybe .5-1 seconds before the adjustment is audible. What's going on? I have searched high and low through the help files and I come up with nothing on how to adjust this.

I want to get rid of Acid and Cool Edit 2000 and work strictly with AA, but I have to solve this problem first. It's irritating becasue Acid does not do this.

Any ideas?

My machine is a Pent 1.70 proc, 512 mb ram.
I try to care and understand.

that is true, but I'm afraid it's not fixable, or atleast nothing I could find...I believe 2.0 is better, but it might just be that I got use to it

Do you mean when you enter a # or when you move the slider.. I get this when I actually enter a number in the volume field.. I have to say that upgrading to 2 will probably fix this as all older versions had many flaws in the mixer..

Thanks for your replies! I figured it out what it was. I dropped the Playback Buffer to 0 and now it responds perfectly.

The only clue AA gave was below the words "Playback Buffer" it said this: "(response time)"
