What you might want to try is ...

1. Go to Start / Run
2. Type cmd
3. In the prompt type tracert www.zynewave.com
4. Note the point in which the trace fails or just save the trace route to a txt file.
5. Contact your ISP about it, probably a DNS issue

I just gave Proxify as an example of the method - most IP masking programmes or Anonymising sites should do the same sort of thing as most work by redirecting your surfing via various proxies and circumventing your ISP.

I just did this.
A window opens for a few seconds and nothing happens
(no text at all). On the title bar, I can see "c:\windows\system32\tracert.exe"

Post

OK so I'll try to find another anonymiser that will let me post in the forum. Oh, and it's no use for me to write about this to my isp because they are famous for never answering mail even for much more serious issues...

I'd suggest you reboot your modem, you really should be seeing something like this...

D:\Documents and Settings\Fots>tracert www.zynewave.com

Tracing route to zynewave.com [209.200.229.85]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 2892 ms 1241 ms 2211 ms loop0.lns1.mel3.internode.on.net [150.101.212.90]
2 * 631 ms 955 ms gi0-3.cor1.mel3.internode.on.net [150.101.212.158]
3 1462 ms 1406 ms 1551 ms pos2-1.bdr1.syd6.agile.on.net [150.101.212.86]
4 1610 ms 1184 ms 1751 ms pos2-0.bdr1.lax1.agile.on.net [203.16.213.177]
5 1562 ms 1675 ms 1992 ms eqix-peer.lax01.mzima.net [206.223.123.62]
6 1563 ms 1925 ms 2480 ms xe1-0.cr01.lax02.mzima.net [64.235.224.182]
7 1024 ms 1141 ms 540 ms ge2-lunarpages.cust.lax02.mzima.net [72.37.172.26]
8 1206 ms 1725 ms 1951 ms jupiter.lunarpages.com [209.200.229.85]

Trace complete.

Good luck

Well in fact this is a bit more complicated because I'm
not using a modem. this is a special box on designed to do many different things : receive dsl tv, surf the net,
place phone calls...

Post

ahh :( too complex for me

You really should be able to traceroute to the site. Try tracert www.google.com and see if that works. If it doesn't, it means that you have some serious firewall right there :D

I found a few here - not tried them though:

http://www.hsinlin.com/tips/anonymous_surfing.html

http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/anonymous.shtml

I have in the past used a Browser called Touchnet that enabled you to do this but it appears to be defunct - it's possible someone has coded a Firefox addon that allows similar functionality but I haven't looked into it.

Post

yes it tracert worked with google. My sygate
firewall asked me first if I allow it. But nothing happens when I try with zynewave.com...
Amused: thanks for the links, I'll try them !

Found one:

I just reported my problem to a newsgroup.
some people in this group can't acces the site
neither and they say that our isp must have dns problems. they say that all we have to do is wait that
the problems get fixed. I guess that's what I'll do
because I don't want to mess to much with the computer and programs, etc... Thanks everyone !

I'm afraid I can't help much with your zynewave.com problems. I have noticed myself that zynewave.com have had more than average downtime during the last week. I'm using register.com for my domain names and lunarpages.com for hosting. Lunarpages are currently doing some maintenance updates on all of their servers which may have caused the problems.

I'm interested in why Podium crashes for you. Are you using the 1.66 demo? It would be a big help if I could examine your project file and your Podium.ini file. The project file should be the last project you opened, i.e. the one that is being autoloaded by Podium on startup. PM me here on KVR if you want my private email address.

OK, Frits thanks for trying to send the podium demo version
by email but it didn't work. Could someone mirror this file
somewhere so that I can download it ? Thanks a lot !

Too bad the email didn't work out. Was the attachment too big or didn't you receive the email at all?

The crash bug you mentioned is now fixed. The 1.62 demo you're using is expired and the crash occurred in the code that pops up the 'expired' message box.

Post

OK ! I understand now why it kept crashing. I didn't receive the mail at all.
If someone could mirror the demo version on a site like yousendit, it would be
great...
