If i buy it now if 2 cames out i have to buy an unprage then?
Is emulatorX2 working on it?
Is it complex to record my alesis micron to it?

Any more info about energyxt is much apreciated.
Thanx in advance.

why don't you scroll down the list of forums and ask in the eXT forum
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

eXT2 is a free upgrade for users of eXT1. I'm not sure on your other questions, as I don't have that card or use hardware synths.

Try the XT1 demo anyway, there's no limitations other than opening saved projects - so anything you make with it will be there if you decide to buy.

I hadn't even noticed this wasn't in the energyXT forum. Mod'll come and move it soon, hopefully.

is ext2 even out?.. I don't seem to be able to purchase it.

Yes working on it, no not complex recording. You can send MIDI to the Micron, and record the audio. Or play it and record both the MIDI and the audio (I think, never tried that).

You'll need an ASIO compliant soundcard or ASIO4all or something like that.

Can I edit sound files with ext1?.. I'd like to automate vst parameters on wave filesm aswell as cutting up the audio wave file, e.g. reversing, time stretching, etc.

xsub, most of those things are announced for eXT2, but it's not out yet (and your guess is as good as anybodies as to when that will be)

Oh, you're saying their development is slow?

Hmm.. maybe they need some more promotion.

the development is very fast - however Jorgen (the developer) decided that it was neccessary to rewrite XT2 from scratch so this is alot of work of course and will take some time. :)

no, it isn't slow but it can use some improvements - and sometimes it's better start from scratch with all the new knowledge which has been gained in the meantime to avoid old mistakes... :-)

Most hosts have been rewritten at least once - just think about Sonar and Cubase Sx which had both their predecessors...
