Midi AND Audio AND Video editing, all in one?

Hi all,

maybe a stoopid question:

Is there software that can do midi AND audio AND video editing? A kind of Sonar + Vegas combination in one (Sonar lacking video (editing) capabilities, Vegas lacking midi capabilities).

It sounds to me like it would be the ideal solution for the creative video filmer who also wants to be able to write his own music score to his videos... Or for the creative musician who also wants to compose his own videoclip to his music...

Or is there some modular system in existence where you can just "plug in" midi-, audio-, and/or video-capabilities, according to what you need?

Thanx,

Heeb.

P.S. 1: I'm talking Windows, not Mac or Linux.

P.S. 2: Yes I know you can first finish you video and then use Sonar to add music, or first finish your music and then use Vegas to add video... But what if you want to do both at the same time?!?

Maybe Nuendo? Not many people do both at the same time...

No. But you can sync an NLE to a sequencer by MTC; Vegas would work. Problem is, as I've tried it on my system, it is extremely CPU intensive to run a sequencer with sound generator (VSTI) AND an NLE from the same machine at the same time, was completely unusable on my system.

Maybe it would be more doable on newer system as mine is quite old (athlon XP 2.8 ), if not, having two machines would work (just send MTC by MIDI cable and sound by SPDIF).
No, that wasn't me.

There are a number of solutions in the pro world of course... ProTools+Avid, etc.

Adobe Premiere, but I'm not sure about MIDI.

The makers of Goldwave have Multiquence (http://goldwave.com/mqfeatures.php), but I don't think it does MIDI. It's inexpensive and fast.

One of the nicest implementations i've tried is SAW, where the optional AVI player was like a VCR that played together with the audio timeline. I haven't yet tried the new SAW Studio.

... and of course as pointed out you can lock various apps together with MTC.
