Hello all,

Recently I've been trying to use the Fruity Slayer VST in Ableton Live.
So far, no luck.

I hear that Imageline acquired Slayer from ReFX, does this have an affect on the installation process.

to sum it all up...Does anyone know how i can get Slayer VST to work in other apps like Ableton?

The Fruity Slayer can only be used in FL Studio. Slayer 2 can be purchased separately http://www.kvraudio.com/get/245.html either from reFX or Image Line.

Use the vst or dxi version of fl inside the other host

FL Slayer can only be used within FL.
I suggest the purchase of Slayer2 at www.refx.net . This one can be used with every vst host.

You could, however, open FL as a vsti in another app, and then open FL slyer in Fl which is in the other app, or perhaps use rewire/ (don't really know about rewire)

Just tried opening the fl vst in ext and using ext's sequencer to control flslayer - works fine.
