Hey I got a couple of emails today from various sources saying that the .ZIPs from the DarkWare freeware page are corrupted...

I'm at work right now so I can't really test to see if this is true or not

.

If any couple various others want to try downloading and running a couple DW VST to see if the "corrupted" thing is BS or not, would be appreciated. I think someone is screwing with me, but

What sometimes happens to me is that I'll try to download a .zip/.rar and my browser will only download half of it but think that it did the whole thing so it stops. If you try to unzip one of these half files Windows spits out a 'corrupt file' message. Maybe that happened to this guy.

Or he could just be some jerk or on a Mac.

when downloading zips or any large file, any pipeline hiccups will corrupt the file, i have had this happen a few times a long while ago, thats when i started downloading a file then web browse or, if download more than one file at a time.
ALSO if the download hiccups and goes slow (I get this every once in a while when downloading the weekly 8 pack from www.acidplanet.com) the file can get corrupt.
Plus some spyware culd also cause the packets to get out of order thus corupt file.

Thanks for the help yesterday guys.

I think the doof(s) was just not downloading the whole files due to slow bandwidth or something.

As long as my side is working properly, I'm happy.
