I just got Samplitude SE and I love it except for one thing. Everytime I open a wavefile it makes about 2 other files in the same folder. I am sure these files contain the peak information or something. I hate this as I like to keep my folders nice and tidy. Is there a way to either a) automatically have the files deleted when I exit the program or b) have all of the files sent to one specific folder so they can all be there. Thanks.

All audio apps create peak files. Usually in the same directory as the media files, though some can create them in a specified folder. They also create auto backups, and temp files, and freeze files, and preference files, and hairs in the sink and they drink your scotch then top it up with water. :o

just kidding (about the auto-backup files).

Honestly, get over it. Just keep each project in its own folder, so that when you're sick and tired of a particular project, you can just delete the whole folder.

If you hate files being created spontaneously, why are you running Windows? :D Don't look in \Documents and Settings, or \WINDOWS; you'll have a seizure.
