doing a remix. have the stem files including a very flowing lead vocal. we're shooting for something more dance-floor so we're looking to "evoke" the vocals through sample "stabs" - stutters, loopings etc.
aside from chopping audio in cubase sx 3.1 (our host), what vst plugs migh expedite this process and make it more playful and intuitive?

thanks so far... checking these out.
shamann, as far as sampler ...i do have kontakt - but i am trying to do this a bit faster than i imagine it would take to cut up the vocals into effect individual sample files, and then create a bank in kontakt... tho it would be awesome.

sorry man but if you want pro results your going to have to spend a day mapping out where you want your stutter efx where your going to cut them place them over off beats etc. A Project that i am doing right now I know i am going have to to have atleast 20 tracks for the same sound then apply fx up the*** to each one then chop and mix them back together. Acutally Chopping up the waves is the best way to go and gives you the best control you can also do BT style time compression stuff.
So If I was doing this remix I would copy the vocal like 20 times take each one and put into a different effect then chop them up and mix them back together to get the precise sounds I need with the vocal(say you want only the tale end of phrase STFU or studdered or glitched or stretched pitched up whatever.
Supertrigga and DBlue's Glitch are great though use DBlue's Glitch to add subtle fx that you use in the music.
Good luck^_-
