I had a patchmix file saved for me 1212m, but when I replaced my machine and upgraded to the 1818m I totally forgot how to do this.

I'm trying to capture some audio on my machine and I can't f**king remember how I used to do it to save my life..I can record the capture in either Audition or eXT.

Can someone help me out with this, please?

it should come with some presets for your card. start with the multitrack recording one, make sure to add all the inputs you use to the mixer set up, then when you are in audition or ext set it up so you have all your inputs and outputs needed. i use a 1616 and it was pretty easy to set up once i found the multitrack preset (it still needs a little set up, but should be easy enough from there).

Easy

1. In the left section add a strip (physical source for example in L or R)

2. In the strip you just added insert a send to host asio and/or wave.

It worked for me, but not in the way you suggested; I had to insert a send to asio/wave in the main inserts on the bottom right.

Cheers for the help! Stupid friggin patchmix is way to smart for me..

This way you will record "what you hear".
I prefer to send to host directly from input with input monitoring muted, because what i often want to do is to record dry guitar while monitoring the signal processed with guitarsuite and/or some cab simulation.
