The best one I think is any MIDI gate with a sharp clean cut. There's lots of those.

I'd recommend Microgater from Klanglabs, and Scuzzphut for freebies. Dont really know anything about commercial ones because those quite sufficient.

Any gate that lets you set the noise floor at 22 KHz.

the one thing that sucks about camelspace, unles I am wrong, is that left and rght channels cant be gated independantly.

That is true - if its a widely requested thing, then I'll consider it for a future version. You can control panning with the step sequencer, which could be used to create a lot of similar effects.
